May 17 was the big national holiday in Norway: Constitution Day. I was fortunate to be in Trondheim, Norway on Constitution Day several years ago and had a great time watching the parades of Norwegians, young and old, decked out in their national or regional costumes and waving Norwegian flags. It made me proud of my Norwegian roots!

Katie, are you 100% Norwegian?
Nope, just 25%, but it’s my dad’s side (and thus where my last name comes from) and I’ve been able to learn quite a bit and trace our family back there to the mid 1700s. So I probably feel more Norwegian than anything.
