One of the highlights of my two weeks in Kyrgyzstan was staying at a yurt camp near the shore of Lake Issyk Kul – the second largest alpine lake in the world. Already mid-September, the beach was nearly empty, but the water was still warm enough to take a dip.

That’s gorgeous! I would have never guessed it is a lake; it looks like a beach at the ocean!
