We are kind of lacking in the snowfall department in Chicago this year, so I thought I’d flash back to where I was last year at this time – in snow, snowy Kiev. It was snowing when I arrived in the Ukrainian capital on January 14, 2012 and it continued to snow for the next nine days. The entire city was truly a winter wonderland.

Aw, it’s pictures like this that make me miss living somewhere with snow. Beautiful.
It looks like this in Vilnius right now. I plan to put up some photos soon.
Beautiful photo of the snow. It’s what makes winter in my opinion.
Snow looks beautiful in photos. However, the reality is different. Just ask the poor souls who are waiting to fly out of Heathrow this weekend.
Great picture. Truly a winter wonderland…
We call it: real Russian winter.
In Moscow, now these are the landscapes.
